BOI MAGAZINE, based in Chicago, entered its 23rd year of publication with its January 2023 issue.

HOWARD BRAGMAN, a Los Angeles-based publicist, crisis manager and LGBTQ activist, passed away on February 11, 2023, of acute monocytic leukemia. He is survived by his husband MIKE MAIMONE. Bragman was 66.

LOREN REX CAMERON, a trans man and photographer best known for his 1996 book, “BODY ALCHEMY: TRANSSEXUAL PORTRAITS,” passed away on November 18, 2022, in Berkeley, Calif. He was 63.

MATT COMER, editor of Charlotte, N.C.-based QNOTES for two stints totaling 8 years between 2007 and 2015, is now the director of communications and digital engagements at St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Charlotte. He takes this position after five years as director of operations and communications for Charlotte Pride. O’NEALE ATKINSON, who served as editor of QNOTES for six months before becoming deputy director of TIME OUT YOUTH in Charlotte, is now heading into private practice as a licensed clinical social worker with Wisteria Counseling and Consulting.

GEORGIA VOICE, based in Atlanta, entered its 14th year of publication with its March 24, 2023, issue.

NORM KENT, co-founder of SOUTH FLORIDA GAY NEWS (SFGN) based in Wilton Manors, Fla., passed away on April 13, 2023, 18 months after learning he had pancreatic cancer. He was 73.

PRESS PASS Q, the only trade publication serving professionals working in LGBTQ media, enters its 25th year of publication with its April 2023 issue.

THE MIRROR, a publication of SOUTH FLORIDA GAY NEWS based in Wilton Manors, Fla., entered its 12th year of publication with its March 2023 issue.
