DALLAS VOICE has welcomed back RICH LOPEZ as a part-time arts and entertainment staff writer. Previously, he was a full-time reporter with the newspaper before becoming features editor at the MIDLAND REPORTER-TELEGRAM. Now back in Dallas, Lopez will also be focusing on helping publish the 2022 version of the newspaper’s annual visitors/relocation guide OUT NORTH TEXAS.
GAY CITY NEWS, based in New York City, held its annual IMPACT AWARDS on November 11, 2021. Because of restrictions related to COVID-19, the ceremony was held virtually, streamed live for free. The event was hosted by PAUL SCHINDLER, the newspaper’s founding editor.
LGBT HISTORY MONTH, as promoted by the Philadelphia-based EQUALITY FORUM, is accepting notations for 2022 LGBT History Month icons. The deadline is December 10, 2021. OUR LIVES, based in Madison, Wisc., entered its 15th year of publication with its July/August 2021 issue.
TAGG MAGAZINE, based in Washington, D.C., celebrated its ninth anniversary in its September/October 2021 issue.
