BAY AREA REPORTER, based in San Francisco, marked its 55th anniversary in its April 2, 2026, issue.
THE CURVE FOUNDATION, publisher of CURVE MAGAZINE, and NLGJA: The National Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists announced that nominations for the Curve Fellowship for Emerging Journalists is now open. The fellowship was created to recognize and support emerging journalistic writers who are focused on raising the visibility of LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people. DAVID, based in Atlanta, entered its 10th year of publication with its January 7, 2026, issue.

ARIANA GLASER, a member of the University of Miami Class of 2028, has been named the 2025 recipient of a $500 scholarship from an NLGJA South Florida chapter.
LAVENDER LINK, the e-newsletter of Minnesota-based LAVENDER MAGAZINE, returned with a new format after a brief hiatus.
NLGJA: THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LGBTQ+ JOURNALISTS announced that is annual New York benefit “Headlines & Headliners” will take place on April 16, 2026, at 7 Hudson Square. The benefit event will be hosted by JUJU CHANG, co-anchor of ABC News’ “Nightline.” At the event,“Good Morning America” co-anchor GIO BENITEZ will be awarded the group’s RANDY SHILTS Award. The money raised helps to fund the association’s year-round work to support LGBTQ+ journalists and advance fair and accurate coverage of LGBTQ+ individuals, issues and populations. QUEER NEWS LIVE, a Chicago-based YouTube series hosted by ANNA DESHAWN, launched in March 2026. New episodes drop Mondays at 7pm and Thursdays at noon Central time.
QUEERTY announced the winners of its 14th annual LGBTQ Queerties Awards in Los Angeles on March 10, 2026. Winners included streaming hit “Heated Rivalry” as best TV drama, “Abracadabra” by LADY GAGA as best anthem and CYNTHIA ERIVO, who won two awards for her performance in “Wicked: For Good” and for her memoir “Simply More.”
TAGG MAGAZINE, based in San Diego, resumed publication in late March 2026 after a five-week hiatus. The publication’s editor, SANDRA MORRIS, reported that the break was necessary while she underwent surgery to remove a tumor on her kidney. Morris is now cancer free.
