GAY CITY NEWS, based in New York City, hosted its 2024 Impact Awards in Queens, N.Y., on November 21, 2024.
CHRISTOPHER KANE, the WASHINGTON BLADE’s White House reporter, and BRANDON WOLF, national press secretary for the Washington-based HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN, were guests on RATED LGBT RADIO last month to talk about the 2024 presidential election.
TROY MASTERS, publisher of the LOS ANGELES BLADE since 2017 and founder of New York City’s GAY CITY NEWS, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2024. He was 63.
KRIS VIRE, a Chicago-based journalist and editor, passed away on November 18, 2024, after battling colon and esophageal cancer. He worked for numerous publications including TIME OUT CHICAGO and CHICAGO MAGAZINE. He was 47 and leaves behind his fiancé JOE TORRES.
WHATSUP.VEGAS, a new LGBTQ community news and entertainment website based in Las Vegas, launched in October 2024. It produces a weekly newsletter as well as the “How to Jimmy Vegas” YouTube show hosted by local entertainer JIMMY EMERSON.
